About the Ostrich
The Moates Ostrich is a device that stores your Calibration and allows you to make real-time updates while the car is running. eCtune requires this device to work properly. You can purchase the Ostrich 2 from a Moates distributor, or the eCtune store.

  • eCtune will work with with both the Ostrich and Ostrich2. The older Ostrich is now discontinued, but still supported in eCtune.
  • eCtune works with the new Moates Demon for a all-in-one emulation and datalogging solution.


Drivers
The Ostrich and Ostrich 2 use FTDI drivers. You can download the drivers for your operating system here: FTDI Drivers (currently at version 2.04.06)


Firmware
When you purchase eCtune, a special firmware must be loaded on your Ostrich or Ostrich 2 in order to make the Pro version of eCtune work properly. The firmware can be obtained below. Please refer to the pictures on this page to determine which Ostrich version you have.
